Special Permits:
Most visitors should park in metered bays or use day permits in general parking areas. However, Special Permits allowing VIP visitors to park in blue zones may be purchased by cost centres for a small fee. Request forms are available from the Parking Office or from Faculty or AOU offices.
These permits are intended for use by such visitors as external members of senior committees. They should not be issued to consultants, sales or service representatives, casual staff or people attending interviews or on work experience placements.
Permits are valid for one day only and must be scratched to expose the valid date. Permits must be displayed on the passenger side dash so that they are clearly visible from outside the vehicle.

If you wish to dispute an offence informally, then you will need to fill in the Expiation Appeal Form explaining any extenuating circumstances involved in the commission of the offence. These circumstances will then be taken into account before a notice is issued stating either that no further action will be taken or that the offence can be expiated by payment within 28 days.
If you receive an infringement notice which you feel was incured by another person, please forward one of the following statutory declarations to the Parking Office, otherwise you will be deemed to be responsible for the Infringement Notice.

Sold Vehicle/ Not in charge of Vehicle Statutory Declaration Form.
Lost Permits:
If you lose your permit you must complete the Lost Permit Statutory Declaration Form and present this at Cashiers when you purchase a replacement permit. In the meantime you must purchase a day permit or short term ticket to avoid being issued with an infringement notice.
