Southern Adelaide

The Southern Adelaide Region encompasses:
- the Local Government Areas of Holdfast Bay, Marion, Mitcham and Onkaparinga - For further information refer to map of Southern Region Local Government Areas (PDF 854KB)
- all or part of the State Government Electorates of Ashford, Bright, Davenport, Elder, Fisher, Heysen, Kaurna, Mawson, Mitchell, Morphett, Reynell and Waite
- all or part of the Federal Government Electorates of Boothby, Hindmarsh, Kingston and Mayo
Office for the Southern Suburbs
The Office for the Southern Suburbs is part of the SA Department for Communities and Social Inclusion . Its primary objective is to provide a coordinated approach to the development of the southern Adelaide metropolitan region. This includes supporting an integrated approach to economic, social and environmental priorities, encouraging partnerships between organisations and providing a whole of government focus.
Southern Adelaide Economic Development Board
The Southern Adelaide Economic Development Board's purpose is to provide industry leadership to further develop the southern Adelaide economy, to influence the decision-making of organisations and individuals which will have a positive impact on the future of the region, and to promote the region as a location for business success.

State Government 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide
The 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide was launched on 17 February 2010. It outlines targets for each region of Greater Adelaide, including southern Adelaide (pages 162-163). These targets include:

- major infrastructure proposals
- key renewal areas
