National Australia Bank

There is a National Australia Bank branch with an external ATM in the Mall near the Registry.

ATMs

There are 2 ATMs at Sturt Campus - ANZ and NAB.

Bank SA

Bank SA have a branch on level 4 of Flinders Medical Centre (open from noon).

EFTPOS

EFTPOS facilities are available in the Retail One shops, the Tavern, the post office and the pharmacy.

Bus tickets

Multitrip bus tickets are available from the Post Office and Retail One.

Hairdresser

Intrigue Hair and Beauty has a shop in the Mall (phone (08) 8201 2550), which is open to staff, students and the public. It opens late on Thursday nights.

Laundromat

Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are located in the Undercroft of the Union Building. Boxes of detergent powder are sold in the pharmacy. Costs are well below commercial rates.

The laundromat is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 7:30pm during the semester, and 7:00am to 5:30pm during holidays.

Optometrist

Flinders Optometry in the Mall (phone (08) 8201 5370 or (08) 8374 1055) provides a complete range of optical services at affordable prices, including bulk-billed eye tests for Medicare cardholders and Medibank Private overseas student card holders. Discounts on frames, lenses and contact lenses are offered:

20% for students (from any institution)
10% for staff and the general public.

Pharmacy

The Pharmacy is located in the Mall (phone (08) 8201 2343). It offers a full range of pharmacy goods and all prescription items. Student discounts apply to selected items and EFTPOS facilities are available.

Photo Shop

Picture This photo shop in the Mall (phone (08) 8201 5655) offers a 1-hour photo processing service (subject to workload) and a photo-to-CD transfer facility. Film and batteries are also available.

Post Office

The Post Office in the Mall near the Registry (phone (08) 8201 2211) offers a range of services, including:

Retail One

The Retail One shops in the Mall and the Sturt campus stock a range of stationery, newsagency items, refreshments, University memorabilia and cheap movie tickets. They also have an online store. For further information see Retail One.

Second hand books

Second hand books can be sold or traded through New Morning Books which is located next to the Refectory, Union Building (phone (08) 8276 7120). The bookshop deals chiefly in used books of academic and general interest, mainly in the areas of literature, history and performing arts. They also offer a free book search service for out-of-print publications. They are open 10:00am to 3:00pm during semester time. Email calypsop@bigpond.net.au.

Travel Agent

The STA Travel Service in the Mall (phone (08) 8201 2179) can make all travel arrangements and has a range of books and brochures. Get a quick quote by email on flindersuni@statravel.com.au, or visit the STA Travel website.

Unibooks

Unibooks is located on the Plaza near the Central Library (phone (08) 8276 8464, fax (08) 8277 0854, email flinders@unibooks.com.au) and has outlets in the Sturt Buildings (phone (08) 8201 3473) and on level 5 of Flinders Medical Centre (phone (08) 8177 0978, email fmss@unibooks.com.au). Wholefood Store

The Wholefood Store in the Mall (phone (08) 8201 2886), sells a range of grains, dried fruits, nuts, bread, hot food, dairy and fresh produce, and an assortment of groceries. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 4:00pm during semester and for reduced hours at other times.
