Attorney-General's Department (Office for Youth), Assistant Policy Officer
Duties: The Assistant Policy Officer is accountable to the Senior Policy and Programs Officer(s), Youth Health and Wellbeing, for a range of diverse administrative, research and information management tasks that assist the Youth Engagement and Wellbeing team to achieve its objective. The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Policy and Programs Officer(s) Youth Health and Wellbeing in assisting and/or supporting in the development and delivery of youth strategies and initiatives to achieve the Youth Engagement and Wellbeing team’s goals and in accordance with related government/departmental policies and procedures.
WorkCover, Policy Officer, Strategy and Government Relations

The Policy Officer will contribute to the analysis and development of policy and relationships with government in the areas of workers compensation through working collaboratively on research and projects. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

- ability to liaise, consult and establish effective relationships
- sound understanding of political and public policy environments
- well developed personal organisational skills and sense of urgency.
Candidates who have completed a Bachelor Degree will be accepted from a wide range of disciplines relevant to this area; including Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Politics, Public Policy or Health Services Management. Other relevant qualifications and disciplines may also be considered. Candidates will also be assessed based on their ability to demonstrate personal and professional alignment with WorkCover’s organisational values, which are critical to our success.
