Thermo Fisher Scientific, Calibration PhysicistThis position is part of the R&D team and will be responsible for generating calibration models for Process Analytics instrumentation, either as factory based calibration or field based calibration, whilst looking for ways to improve the calibration process and calibration techniques. Responsible for performing feasibility studies on samples received from projects, to run samples, derive optimum calibration models and provide final reports.

The formulation team are responsible for the development of safe, stable and efficacious protein formulations for non-clinical toxicology and human clinical trials. Using state of the art equipment, the formulation scientist will routinely undertake activities relating to the design, implementation and reporting of development studies. The scientist is also responsible for the generation of documentation to appropriate quality and regulatory standards.
Reporting to a Senior Scientist Supervisor, your hands-on formulation and technical proficiency will ensure timely completion of a diversity of development activities. Daily responsibilities will involve the planning, collection and analysis of data for a range of new product formulations. You are well organised with strong attention to detail and proficient time management and problem solving skills.
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field of science (honours or higher degree). Previous experience in protein formulation development within the pharmaceutical industry will be highly regarded.
