- Do you possess good analytical skill
- Can think quickly on your feet and work effectively in a team environment?
The BCG Business Strategy Competition has the reputation as the most prestigious business management competition for University students in Australia & New Zealand.
What is the BCG Business Strategy Competition?
The BCG Business Strategy Competition is a management competition that is open to tertiary students across all universities in Australia and New Zealand and gives participants insights into the world of management consulting. The Competition attracts professionals and headhunters from a wide range of industries, most notably Consultants from the Strategic Consulting Industry.
Students from any discipline can enter. Previous participants have come from diverse backgrounds such as engineering, law, computer science, arts, mining and commerce. This competition is also highly beneficial for those who have a keen interest in business - accounting, finance, marketing, HRM, management etc.
Finders University competed for the first time last year in the SA/Vic Regional Competition, performing exceptionally well and was successful in this round therefore competing in the Grand Final Competition in Sydney.
How does the competition work?
Within each division, teams of four to six students representing their university are given three hours to prepare a solution to a case study based on a business problem. Teams then present their solutions to a panel of judges who ask questions and assess them on their teamwork, problem solving and analytical abilities.
What does the competition offer participants?
Many of the past participants have been recruited to top firms in the Consulting Industry through this Competition.
The Competition gives you the opportunity to take on the role of strategy consultants and develop solutions to issues encountered in the business environment. You will also have the chance to network with high profile industry representatives while honing your problem solving, presentation and team building skills.
