  • The City of Marion Project

Two teams participated in the Inaugural Spring HEWSO program, run in September - a more condensed version of the original HEWSO program, now known as Summer HEWSO.

Working with the City of Marion, the highly committed students worked on a strategic project involving The Council's Vision for a Sustainable Marion - 2020.

The Teams were given 4 days to research, report and present to The Council with an innovative and enterprising solution to the issue.

The teams produced professional business presentations and reports, which they presented to a panel of Council judges and representatives, including The Mayor.

Feedback from The Council was highly positive and they were extremely happy with the high level of professionalism and dedication of the students.   The Council was also impressed with the overall program and level of commitment demonstrated by the two teams.

** CONGRATULATIONS TO FLINDERS TEAM **

After being one of the final 12 teams at the National Finals for the HEWSO program, the Flinders University team was awarded Best Report, one of the two National Major Awards for Spring HEWSO.

With 32 teams involving 194 students Nationally, this is a great achievement for the Flinders team.
