Potential Employers
Bachelor Of Science, Information Associate at EDS (Electronic Data Systems)
I have been involved in several different areas within EDS. I worked on the help desk for the first 5 months and then transitioned to the Adelaide Solution Centre where I have been primarily involved in Production Support and Business Analyst work.
From my experience, extra curricular activities do give you an edge. I attended several seminars put on by the Careers and Employer Liaison Centre and found that they assist in the way that you see the outside world while at university. When you are doing a degree, lecturers tend to give specific examples. You need a broader perspective, and extra curricular activities help to give you this.
Make use of the Careers and Employer Liaison Centre and all that they offer including work experience and seminars. It may take time now but it will benefit you in the future. |
