Computer Systems Engineering Graduate working as a Graduate Engineer - "I will start as a GUI programmer. After demonstrating my competencies, I have been told that I will move into a hardware design role, writing firmware for DSPs and FPGAs.

I had a strong desire to become an electronics engineer. This desire pushed me to learn and be involved with the things that interested me. I had a lot to offer the employer, as I had been involved in many things during uni. Not only did I excel in certain areas, but also I was involved in many peer-to-peer relationships including president of a student organisation, president of a Club, representative of the staff/student consultative committee, and Campus coordinator for Engineers Australia. These affiliations showed employers that I have initiative, and am willing to lead both small and large groups."
