    High Speed Instrumentation Officer, Defence Science and Technology Organisation, Weapons Systems Division - Weapons Effects Group

    Duties: The occupant of this position will be involved in the capture of transient pressure signals associated with warhead detonations and shock tube experiements and the post capture analysis. Primary responsiblities include the calibration and characterisation of sensors as well as the development of appropriate sensor interface electronics. The occupant will assist in the design or modification of specialised minor mechanical devices as required for experiments and operate specialised high-speed date recording systems and assist with data processing and reduction.

    Geochemical Instrumentalist, CSIRO Petroleum Resources

    CSIRO Petroleum is an independent supplier of R&D to Australia's oil and gas industries.  Research covers the development of oil and gas resources, from exploration to production. The Organic Geochemistry group, located in North Ryde, New South Wales, is seeking to recruit a Geochemical Instrumentalist.

    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, or equivalent experience.  Primary duties will involve the maintenance of instrumentation and provision of analytical support to the organic geochemistry area.  Additional responsibilities will include operating GC-MS and other equipment and general project work, including wet chemistry, data acquisition and processing.  The successful candidate will have excellent oral communication skills, and an ability to perform independently and as an integral part of project teams.

    Graduate Careers Australia's (GCA) annual Australian Graduate Survey ( AGS ) is a study of the activities of new higher education graduates around four months after the completion of their qualifications. New graduates are surveyed regarding their major activities, including full-time study, full or part-time employment, seeking employment or their unavailability for work or study.

    Technical Specialist (Electronics), ASIO

    The appointee to the position will specialise in electronics / radio frequency communications systems, IT based systems and equipment, but will be expected to diversify their skills over time and provide support to other technical collection tasks. Your work may involve assisting other ASIO engineers and technical officers to develop new capabilities, acquiring and maintaining equipment and systems, planning operations, and participating in operational teams.
