Tourism Coordinator, Port Pirie Regional Council
As a highly motivated professional you'll use your excellent communication skills to promote, coordinate and maintain tourist attractions at the Centre. You will have qualifications in Tourism Information or a related field, along with excellent communication skills. Regional Administration Officer - Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australian Tourism Commission
The Regional Administration Officer is responsible for providing administrative support and marketing assistance to the Regional Marketing Manager, Fleurieu Peninsula. Activities include, preparation of e-newsletters, organisation of regional tourism awards, updating the industry database, assisting with major projects, preparing monthly meeting documentation and reports, maintaining comprehensive financial records for the organisation, representation at consumer and trade events, maintaining the regional website, conducting advertising sales for the regional visitor guide and providing general administrative support.
The incumbent will be based in Mount Compass and will report to the Regional Marketing Manager Fleurieu Peninsula. A tertiary qualification in tourism, administration, business or a related field is highly desirable, and experience in an administrative role is preferred. |

"I have just started in the position of Tourism and Events Coordinator at the City of Holdfast Bay. My position is required to coordinate Council events as well as assist the many contracted event managers to stage events in Glenelg, for example the City to Bay Fun Run or the Bay Sports Festival. This is my second position in the events industry since finishing the Bachelor of Cultural Tourism in 2003 and completing the Graduate Certificate in Festival and Event Management in 2004. With the competitiveness of employment in this industry, I am finding that the study I have undertaken has assisted in securing positions and opportunities in the Tourism and Event sector." |

"My Job is the Flinders Ranges Tourism Product Development Officer. I work with Council, local community and tourism operators as a facilitator to develop new tourism products in the Flinders Ranges Region. My area includes: Peterborough / Quorn / Orrorroo / Hawker/ Wilpena / Parachilna / Leigh Creek / and Blinman. I work for the Northern Regional Development Board whose office is in Pt Augusta- however I am based in Quorn. The position is very challenging and includes grant applications, business plan writing, budget planning, (basically everything you learn through Cultural Tourism Course) and more. I have many ongoing projects to work on including: food tourism, heritage tourism, geo-tourism, cycle tourism, art tourism and many more." |

Regional Marketing Manager - Adelaide Hills, South Australian Tourism Commission
The Regional Marketing Manager, in conjunction with Adelaide Hills Tourism Marketing, will be responsible for implementing the marketing activities as identified in the Adelaide Hills Tourism marketing plan and working with the local tourism industry to facilitate their professional development. Activities include the development and implementation of industry events, assisting with itinerary development for familiarisations, planning and budgeting, product development, advertising and public relations, representation at regional festivals, and at domestic consumer events. The role will be offered as a one-year maternity fill contract, subject to three months probation and participation in regular performance reviews. A negotiated salary commensurate with experience is being offered, plus superannuation. A privately plated fully maintained vehicle is also provided. The incumbent will be based in Mt Barker and will report to the South Australian Tourism Commission's Regional Support Manager. A tertiary qualification in tourism, marketing or a related field is an advantage. |
