Textile & Fibre Technology
Research Careers
The global textile and fibre industries
are on the threshold of an exciting revolution as developments
in emergent science areas such as nano-technology, intelligent
polymers and bio-mimetics are applied to textile materials
to add an entirely new dimension of functionality. The Textile
and Fibre Technology business unit of Australia's Commonwealth
Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) is
seeking innovators from a range of disciplines to join a dynamic
team that is introducing these and other technologies into
its research program. We are offering career opportunities
for chemists, physicists, engineers and textile technologists.
Current and proposed research includes the development of
electronic textiles, hybrid and modified fibres, novel dyeing
technologies, composite non-woven structures, high-tech active
sportswear products and next generation protective apparel
materials. |

Australian Graduate Survey
Graduate Careers Australia's (GCA) annual Australian Graduate Survey ( AGS ) is a study of the activities of new higher education graduates around four months after the completion of their qualifications. New graduates are surveyed regarding their major activities, including full-time study, full or part-time employment, seeking employment or their unavailability for work or study.
