    Dealing with a portfolio of claims for injuries following motor vehicle accidents

    With your experiences in securing employment what advice would you give to students who are in their first, second, and final year of study?

    Work experience/volunteer placements, relevant part-time employment while studying, having a look what employment is out there (especially in final year)

    Many employers presenting employment information sessions have commented on the importance of students undertaking extra curricular activities during their time at university. Could you comment on this?

    Yes, it shows that you aren't just doing the bare minimum to get through, and employers like someone who is willing to put in extra.

    How did you go about finding graduate employment?

    I looked in newspapers and employment websites and did some cold canvassing. I also used the the email jobs service - GRADJOBS- offered by the university Careers and Employer Liaison Centre

    Can you briefly describe the application process relevant to your position?

    I applied for an advertised position online and was short-listed for an interview, which I attended for about 45 minutes. The overall process took about a month.
