Speech Pathologist
My position caters for children aged approximately 2-5 years who have speech and/or language difficulties. I see outpatients who do not have access to speech pathology services through a community health centre in their local area.
… I was heavily involved in volunteer work related to my degree, I sat on management committees both at university and outside organisations, and I was a student representative. The skills I gained through these experiences provided me with personal growth, confidence, and leadership and teamwork skills, but they also showed my prospective employers that I was not afraid to extend myself beyond the basic expectation and that I was dedicated to my profession.
