CAREERS FAIRS - 2008

Each year the Careers and Employer Liaison Centre runs Recruitment/Careers Fairs for current students and recent graduates of Flinders University. Careers Fairs are conducted on campus in either Rosetta's Restaurant, the Kelly Morris Room in the Union Building and at Sturt locations for Teaching and Nursing. Fairs are an opportunity for final and penultimate year students to meet with representatives of participating organisations in an informal environment.

Careers Fairs provide you with information about the opportunities in various fields and the opportunity to discuss requirements, applications, opportunities for work experience, vacation and graduate careers directly with prospective employers.

The dates and times for our 2008 Careers Fairs are as follows:

  • Accounting, Commerce & Business - Wednesday 5th March 6pm - 8pm
  • Science/Information Technology/Engineering - Wednesday 26th March 5pm - 7pm
  • Law - Thursday 27th March 5pm - 7pm
  • Teaching - Monday 23rd June 12noon - 2pm
  • Nursing - Monday 28th July 4pm - 6pm
  • Jobs, Jobs, Jobs....Recruitment Agencies - Wednesday 27th August 12pm - 2pm
  • Health & Community Services - Wednesday 17th September 12pm - 2pm

  • Teaching Careers Fair: Monday 22nd June (12 noon - 2pm)
  • Nursing & Midwifery Careers Fair: Monday 27th July (4pm - 6pm)
  • Recruitment Agencies: Wednesday 26 August (12pm - 2pm)
  • Health and Community Services Fair: Wednesday 16th September (12pm - 2pm)

AUSBIOTECH STUDENT ASSOCIATION (ABSA)

Attention bioscience students! Are you looking for a career in the Biotechnology industry?

Come along to the AusBiotech Student Association (ABSA) BioCareers Night

Date: Wednesday 10 September, 2008.

This September at the German Club, the AusBiotech Students Association (ABSA) will present BioCareers Night 2008. This annual event (now in its 5th year) showcases the bioscience industry and facilitates the interaction of representatives from the bioscience community with bioscience students and individuals looking at career opportunities within the industry.

The night will be comprised of a series of short presentations followed by networking (finger food and drinks will be provided) with representatives at booths.

You can't afford to miss this "must do" annual BioCareers extravaganza!

Currently, due to the high demand for drop in times we are accepting face to face registrations, no earlier than 30 minutes prior to that day's drop in session. Phone based registrations will not be taken for drop in sessions.

All sessions are held at the Careers and Employer Liaison Centre, and are open to Flinders University Students up to a year after they have graduated.
