Accreditation
Child care centres must register and participate in the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System for parents to be able to receive Child Care Benefit. The Quality Improvement and Accreditation System (QIAS) process occurs every 2 1/2 years. This process ensures centres meet stringent quality assessments to maintain registration. Areas covered by QIAS are relationships between staff, children and parents as well as the centre's programs, protective care and safety practices, health and nutrition.
