• Regular maintenance of both equipment and environment

• Relationships that provide an open and useful exchange of information and ideas
• Orientation processes for new families
• Transition processes

We provide a program that offers children the opportunity to meet their fullest potential by providing: -

• A curriculum based on sound child development practices
• Individual programming and assessment
• Regular review of development
• Evaluation of programs
• Inclusion for children with additional needs

We cater for the multicultural community by: -

• Respecting cultural diversity
• Consulting widely and showing flexibility in child rearing practices
• Providing positive support for children from different cultures
• Using bilingual workers as needed

We value the child’s self esteem by: -

• Promoting self help skills
• Showing respect to children as individuals
• Providing opportunities for non-gender specific experiences
• Giving children responsibility for choice within the curriculum

We involve the family as a whole by: -

• Consulting on all relevant issues and policies
• Providing information on parenting skills

• Utilising the University and grounds
• Liaising with the local community as part of our learning environment - schools and kindergartens and other child care services
