Infrastructure Services is a unit of the Information Services Division.

Mission

To provide a reliable, prompt and friendly information technology support service to the University community.

To introduce and maintain recognised standards in installations of software, computers, networks and telecommunications equipment.

To provide leadership and expertise in the planning and introduction of new information technology on campus to further the University's mission in teaching, research and administration.

Roles

Server Support Group

- Software support for the University's networks and central computer systems.
- Design and planning for future computing and network technologies for the University.
- A regular flow of information to the University community concerning information technology and its relevance to University business.

Network Support Group

- Implementation, development and maintenace of core university networks.
- Liaison with Faculty computing support groups.

Operations Staff

- Operational and customer support for the central teaching, research and administration computer systems.
