EndNote is a bibliographic database and reference management application.
This release can be downloaded from here. Details of new features are available as a pdf file. EndNote X1 for Macintosh is scheduled to be released in August 2007
Our subscription to EndNote Web begins in December 2006 and runs concurrently with our EndNote site licence. Once it is live in December you can access it through http://myendnoteweb.com. The release notes are available as a pdf file here.
This is an annual renewable site licence running for three years beginning on 1 January 2003. At the end of the three years the University has the option to renew for a further three years. During the term of the licence the University is entitled to all new versions and minor upgrades at no additional charge.
At the termination of the licence the University is entitled to continue to use the software at the last version and revision level received while the licence was in force. Any further upgrades would have to be purchased individually.
There is no cost to the indiviual user; the cost is met from a central budget.
Windows based PCs and Macintosh platforms are supported.

The right to use EndNote at home ceases immediately upon termination of employment at Flinder University or the cessation of enrolment by a student. A condition of the licence is that the software must be completely removed from your computer should your formal association with Flinders end.

There is a PDF (portable document format) copy of the user manual available as part of the software download. This may be printed for your own personal use but otherwise must not be copied or sold. Printed copies of the EndNote manual are available in all three University libraries and can also be purchased in Australia from http://www.crandon.com.au/home/order.htm at the current price of $59.
The licence does not include individual assistance for users of the product. Your local computing support staff can assist with installation of the product on your workplace computer. Support for home computers is not provided.
