Study options @ Flinders

Undergraduate degrees / diplomas
Most undergraduate courses are offered as first degrees and require no previous tertiary study. Combined degree programs are available.

Honours programs
Flinders also offers a comprehensive range of Honours programs for students who demonstrate academic excellence in their studies. For more information please visit our Honours programs page.

Graduate-entry undergraduate degrees
Graduate-entry degrees require you to already hold an undergraduate qualification. They normally take less years of study than a first degree. Note: Commonwealth supported places (HECS-Help) are available for all of our Graduate-entry degrees. Education and Nursing Graduate Entry courses are considered National Priorities making the student contribution amount of the Commonwealth Supported Places less than other courses.

Postgraduate courses
Graduate certificates, graduate diplomas and masters degrees can be completed by coursework.

Research higher degrees
Research higher degrees (doctorate or masters degrees) are awarded primarily on the basis of a research thesis.

External study
Some postgraduate and graduate-entry courses can be studied off-campus, in total or in part, through distance education.

Single topics
If you do not wish to be admitted to a full course of study you may apply to enrol for one or more topics as a non-award student.

Offshore programs
Flinders offers some programs offshore, in partnership with institutions in the host countries.
