Science

As well as the combined degree options highlighted in individual entries below, all of the following degrees can be taken in a combined program with the Bachelor of Innovation and Enterprise (Science & Technology) - a unique one-year program providing business skills and workplace experience.

Bachelor of Science
The Bacehlor of Science program has been restructured to provide a greater range of options. Specialisations and double specialisations can be taken in new areas such as Bioinformatics, Ocean and Climate Sciences, and Electronics, as well as traditional disciplines like Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

Bachelor of Science
Aquaculture: A specialist degree combining science, technology and the business management skills needed to manage successful aquaculture ventures or be involved with policy and administration.

Biotechnology: Offered as an Honours degree program, Biotechnology combines biology with medicine and looks at the value of living organisms and their products for economic, social or health uses. Can be combined with a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice.

Forensic and Analytical Chemistry: A niche course in analytical chemistry (analysing and identifying trace elements) and its application to matters of a legal nature.

Marine Biology: A specialist degree for students looking to professional careers in marine biology and related areas.

Medicinal Chemistry: This degree combines the background knowledge that underpins chemistry with specific content that links chemistry with pharmacology, environment and the chemical industry.

Nanotechnology: This degree investigates the science of working directly at the molecular level and is expected to be one of the growth industries of the 21st century.
