Who are ‘domestic’ students?
Domestic students are:
- Australian citizens
- New Zealand citizens
- Permanent residents.
Who are ‘international’ students?
International students are international citizens who are required to hold a student visa to study in Australia.
For the purpose of admissions, international students studying Year 12 in Australia or who are studying the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) offshore, can apply through the same processes as domestic students. They will, however, be subject to international fees.
Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)
The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) (previously known as Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER)) and cut-off scores will vary from year to year. The ATAR listed in these pages are based on the February 2012 offer round. Use these as a guide only for 2013 admission.

What is a Commonwealth supported place?
A Commonwealth supported place is a place for which the Commonwealth Government will pay an amount of money towards the cost of the course and the student will pay a Student Contribution amount.
Commonwealth supported places are available to students who are:
- Australian citizens
- New Zealand citizens studying in Australia
- Permanent residents
- an undergraduate course
- a graduate-entry bachelor degree
- a postgraduate course of which the University has allocated students a Commonwealth supported place.
How are these annual fees calculated?
All fees are provided in Australian dollars.

Fees may vary from year to year.
The domestic student fees in these pages are based on study in 2013.
Domestic student fees are indicative only. They are calculated:
- as annual fees (with the exception of the 18 unit Graduate Certificate course fees, where the total indicative fee for the course is provided)
- based on the average fee of the first year of study of a course.
Actual tuition fees are based on the actual topics the student chooses to take to complete the course.
