Overview

The  Master of Accounting and Marketing is a vocationally oriented specialist postgraduate degree designed to provide a pathway into the areas of business, accounting and marketing. It fulfils the entry requirements for CPA Australia and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants.

The degree provides a blend of practice and theory and places emphasis on combining specific accounting skills and a critical overview of range of topical marketing concepts and theories.

These combined skills and knowledge will assist in enhancing career in accounting and marketing by having a broad understanding of these areas and ability to resolve marketing and accounting issues that are common in business.

The course is designed to provide a strong foundation of accounting, marketing and business knowledge and skills and attitudes to support global business management of organisations including private sector business organisations, not-for-profit organisations and public organisations.

Entry requirements

Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline (other than accounting degree accredited in Australia).

Applicants with an Australian accredited degree in accounting are not eligible for admission into the Master of Accounting and Marketing.

The University may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, consider others who can show that they demonstrate the experience, knowledge and aptitude required to undertake the course. Please contact the University for further advice.
