Overview

The Master of Business (Human Resource Management) specialisation covers critical components of HRM relating to staffing and effective resource management in an international context. You will learn how to contribute to organisations in the area of performance management, recruitment and selection, leadership, and international Human Resource Management.

It will provide you with specialised skills and knowledge to pursue a career in this discipline, which is vital to the overall success of a business. You will apply the concept of understandin the broader international business environment including gaining skills in accounting, finance, marketing and economics.

The HRM specialisation is offered by the Flinders Business School.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration

Applicants for the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration will normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution, OR have 7 years work experience, preferably with at least 2 years at management/supervisory level.

Entry requirements for the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration

Applicants must hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. Applicants who have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration may also gain entry into the course.

Entry requirements for the Master of Business

Applicants will normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution OR have completed the Graduate Diploma in Business.

Applicants who have completed

  • a bachelor degree in a business discipline or a discipline related to their chosen specialisation; or
  • a bachelor degree which includes a major in business, commerce, marketing or management; or
  • a graduate certificate in a business discipline

at an approved institution may be eligible to follow a 54 unit study program and complete the degree in 1.5 years full time or equivalent part time.

The Faculty Board may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
