Overview

This articulated program aims to provide directors with the opportunity of enhancing their creative and practical skills in a framework of high quality academic study.

It fulfils the need for professional studies in screen production at postgraduate level.

Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution with major studies in screen production.

However the Faculty Board may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.

In addition, applicants must submit a portfolio of work and be available for an interview (which can be conducted over the telephone if necessary).

The portfolio can include: a VHS or DVD show-reel; examples of written work that applies to screen production; a statement of no more than 2 pages outlining what they hope to achieve in this degree; and a CV of no more than 3 pages detailing industry experience, publications, educational background, plus any relevant professional or community experience.
