Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Education (Higher Education) provides an opportunity for staff teaching in tertiary education to gain a formal qualification related to learning and teaching and scholarship of teaching.
It is designed in response to both national and international priorities that advocate qualifications for teaching staff.

Applicants must normally hold an approved Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
The Faculty Board may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
