Overview

Our programs in Screen and Media Production provide post-production skills, knowledge of screen and media production, and an understanding of issues and theory in a related field of study (Archaeology, Cultural Heritage Management, Maritime Archaeology or Tourism).

You will learn skills in a range of commonly employed documentary production practices and develop the ability to collaborate with peers on basic screen-production projects.

Entry requirements

Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Screen and Media Production must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.

Applicants for the Graduate Diploma in Screen and Media Production must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.

Applicants for the Master of Screen and Media Production will qualify for either a basic, an intermediate or an advanced entry level. Applicants who hold: an approved bachelor degree in any discipline for an approved tertiary institution are eligible for the basic level entry, and will complete up to 72 units of study.
Applicants who hold an approved bachelor degree in Screen and Media or in a closely related discipline, or in one of the nominated fields of study, or and approved Graduate Certificate in Screen and Media, or an approved Honours degree from an approved tertiary institution are eligible for the intermediate entry level, and will complete up to 54 units of study. Applicants who hold the Graduate Diploma in Screen and Media Production, or an approved Honours degree in Screen and Media from an approved tertiary institution are eligible for the advanced entry level, and will complete up to 36 units of study.

Under exceptional circumstances and subject to specific conditions, the Faculty Board may admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
