Academic Year 2014

Change to census dates from 2014
Flinders University has changed the census dates for semester 1 and semester 2 from set dates in March and August to the Friday of teaching Week 5 in each semester.

The following dates apply for 2014. Students should check course or Faculty handbooks for any course specific variations.

Semester 1 topics

Friday 14 March

Last day to enrol in new topics. This does not apply to courses where enrolment deadlines have been specified. 

Friday 14 March

Last day to pay Semester 1 up-front student contribution amounts, tuition fees and student services and amenities fees.

Friday 4 April

Census date

Last day to withdraw without incurring student contribution amounts, tuition fees and student services and amenities fees.  Topics withdrawn by this date will not appear on the academic transcript.

Friday 16 May

Last day to withdraw without failure (WN)

Friday 20 June

Last day to withdraw (WF)

Semester 2 topics

Friday 8 August

Last day to enrol in new topics. This does not apply to courses where enrolment deadlines have been specified.

The day after 20% of combined teaching and assessment period has elapsed, unless this day falls on a weekend, in which case the Census date will be the following Monday.

Last day to withdraw without failure

2/3 through the teaching period for the topic or the Census date, whichever date is later.
