It is vital to keep a balance in life while you are a student. This means working an appropriate amount, keeping up with studies and also having time for fun and relaxation.

Many students have part-time work that they need to do to survive financially whilst they are studying.

Research has shown that students who work 10-15 hours per week can generally manage a full-time study load. However, students who work more than this may find that their study is significantly affected and their results are lower than they should be.

If you have any financial concerns, the Student Assist Service at Flinders One can assist.

The counsellors at the Health and Counselling Services are able to provide information about time management strategies. The Student Learning Centre can also assist with study skills.
