Information, advice and support when they have questions about their visa or studies, or need a referral to a support service- applicable to international students.

The ISSU is the first point of contact for International Students and offers a range of programs supporting your enrolment, study and social life, as well as a referral service to facilities on campus and within the local community. For example, the ISSU organises a general orientation program for new students, day and weekend tours throughout the semester, and coordinates a spouse conversation group.

ISSU has four advisory staff: one specifically for students on Australian Government scholarships offered through AusAID; the other two provide advice to all other undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Students wanting to change their visas to include work rights need to visit the ISSU to have their student status confirmed before they apply for Permission to Work. ISSU staff also write letters for purposes such as confirmation of student enrolment status, invitations and degree completion.
