For assistance in developing your study skills:
There are a number of avenues open to external students studying at Flinders University.
- Skype consultations
- Study and writing guides: Self-help guides on many different subjects such as English language skills, referencing skills, research skills, etc.
- Phone consultations: Phone the SLC on (08) 8201 2518 between 11am and 3pm (South Australian time) to speak with an academic advisor. These staff members will be able to assist you in developing your study skills.
- Extended phone consultation: External students are offered a limited number of 50-minute phone consultations. Contact the SLC during office hours to arrange a mutually agreeable time. One of our academic advisors will contact you at the appointed time to assist you in developing your study skills.
- Recorded lecture and handouts on FLO: logon to FLO (https://flo.flinders.edu.au/) and click on the Student Learning Centre Hub under "My Topics". Note: If you cannot see the Student Learning Centre Hub under "My Topics" you may have to click on "customise this page" and change the number of topics displayed to "Always show all".
