Times: Monday – Thursday, 10.00am to 4.00pm and 5.00pm to 7.00pm and Fridays, 10.00am to 12.00pm.

No booking is necessary.

The SLC offers one-to-one academic support in our Writing Centres on study skills like researching, planning, referencing and academic integrity. No appointment is needed - just drop in! Bring your assignment question and other materials. Our locations are in the Central Library, the Sturt Library and the SILC building.

 

The sessions are flexible and can be used to respond to queries in relation to a student’s academic needs or concerns, or to ascertain whether or not the student could benefit from other support offered by the SLC.

  • Provides a venue for students to ask questions about their academic writing.
  • Provides students with an opportunity for practise and feedback on their work.
  • Provides qualified staff to advise students on a range of generic writing skills such as:
    • writing style and language choice
    • use of quotes and referencing
    • paraphrasing and summarising
    • essay structure and argument development.
