To all the volunteers who worked on the site of the Mitcham Water Works and others involved with this project, I am very pleased to say this project is almost complete. The following website hosted by the City of Mitcham summarises the work to date:

The archaeological work undertaken during National Archaeology Week 2010 was funded by the City of Mitcham and supported by the Department of Archaeology, Flinders University. The final report will be available by early June, although most outcomes of thearchaeological survey and excavation are presented in the documents linked to the webpage. The next stage in this project will be recommendations relating to whether or not the water works should be restored - and if so, where the funding will come from!
