The Department of Archaeology at Flinders University is one of Australia's leading centres for the study of archaeology. Our courses are taught by internationally renowned staff with a wide range of specialist skills in many fields.
The Archaeology Department at Flinders has nine permanent full time staff, two general (Teaching Support) staff members, and a range of adjunct and other staff who regularly contribute to our academic programs.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students are an equally important part of the Department. We are one of the only archaeology departments in Australia to offer students intensive and wide ranging fieldwork training and experience. Staff and students are always involved in a range of archaeological projects across Australia and every student has the opportunity to gain experience by working on real sites, starting in the very first year of their degree.
