The Postgraduate Education Loans Scheme (PELS) and HECS-HELP

PELS is an interest-free loans facility for eligible students who are enrolled in fee-paying non-research courses in 2004 or before. Information on this scheme is available here.

HECS-HELP is a loan available to eligible students enrolled in Commonwealth supported places. A HECS-HELP loan will cover all or part of the student contribution amount. Information on this scheme is available here.

Online students

If you are an enrolled student you can access Flinders Learning Online (FLO) from here . (FLO instructions available here)

Search Engines

Here is a link to Google (and a link to Google Scholar) , a very good Internet Search Engine. You can use this to find information on the 'Net. If you do not refine your search query, you may end up with thousands of suggested links, many of which will be irrelevant to your needs. One way of narrowing the search is to place a word string inside quote marks - eg "hearing impairment in children". This will stop you getting suggested links that relate only to hearing (as in a court hearing for instance!), or to impairment only etc.

Library services

The Flexible Delivery Library Service is provided for students enrolled externally through Flinders University and living outside the Adelaide metropolitan area. This includes students living interstate and overseas. Students of Flinders University may remotely access electronic journals held by Flinders' Library.
