Welcome to the Drama Centre
Although Flinders has taught drama as a separate discipline since the school of Humanities was first established in 1967, the professional acting and directing programs at the Flinders Drama Centre were introduced in 1975. The combination of a strong grounding in performance theory, together with a high level of technical skill, has produced what we call ‘the intelligent alternative’ in professional training.
Drama Centre graduates have made and continue to make a significant contribution to the entertainment industry both nationally and internationally.
