To ensure the safety and welfare of students in schools, the three schooling sectors (Department for Education and Child Development (DECD), Catholic Education and the Independent Schools Board) have advised that all Flinders University students who undertake activities in the schools of those sectors must have cleared a Criminal History Check before they can undertake their professional experience.

All Bachelor of Education pre-service teachers must obtain a Criminal History Check before University commences.

(A Criminal History Check lasts for 3 years).
