Many good quality educational initiatives are implemented well with fidelity to program goals, and evaluated to have positive benefits. Despite this, there are concerning reports, nationally and internationally, about poor program sustainability once the start-up phases for such initiatives have passed.
The aim of this project is to understand more about how effective educational initiatives can be sustained over longer terms. The research team is collecting practical evidence from educational curriculum designers, school and early childhood education and care (ECEC) leaders, and health and community educators that can be synthesised to create new knowledge in order to improve practices for embedding long-term sustainability into the design, delivery, evaluation and maintenance of educational initiatives.
