Criminology and Criminal Justice at Flinders University Law School is a longstanding and successful programme in South Australia, and is ranked amongst Australia’s leading Criminology departments. Our teaching and research programme includes over 10 academics and attracts national and international postgraduate students. We have a large population of undergraduates, dedicated honours studies in Criminology with a successful internship component and a CJ student association active in peer support.
Our academic staff members have an internationally renowned reputation for research, specialising in such areas as policing, corrections, criminal process, victimisation, miscarriages of justice, organised crime, corruption, and irregular migration, amongst others. This innovative research feeds into our well-established teaching programme, and is delivered by staff who have received numerous institutional and national teaching excellence awards – offering students access to knowledgeable experts in the field, and valuable educational opportunities.
