Flinders Legal Advice Clinic
The Flinders Legal Advice Clinic (FLAC) was established by the Flinders Law School as an independent legal service in August 2012.
FLAC is a free advice service staffed by law students from Flinders University. Qualified legal practitioners supervise the Clinic. This means that an experienced lawyer checks all of the advice that FLAC provides. FLAC adheres to all the professional rules and guidelines that every law firm and legal practitioner must follow.
The students at FLAC find that helping people with their legal disputes is an excellent learning experience for their future career. They take their responsibility very seriously, and act professionally at all times.
FLAC currently offers appointments to the public at two Clinic locations, On-Campus within the Flinders Law School, and at the Cooinda Neighbourhood Centre, Marion.
Flinders University and FLAC are also collaborating with Refugee Advocacy Service of South Australia (RASSA) to provide limited assistance to refugees.
FLAC has been established with the support of Flinders' Southern Knowledge Transfer Partnerships Office and the Flinders University Students' Association.
FLAC is sponsored by LEAP Legal Software Pty. Limited.
