A collaboration between the SA Government Department of Human Services and Flinders University Screen Production.
The Community Voices Program partners Flinders filmmaking students and community organisations in the production of short documentaries and online video ads that recruit, promote and celebrate volunteers in South Australia.
The program sees students working independently and collaborating with real-life clients to deliver videos to help make a difference. Community organisations use the videos to promote their business, fundraise, recruit volunteers and raise general awareness about the work they do in the wider community.
The Community Voices Program is in its 12th year and has produced 120 videos. In 2018, the community organisations involved in the program are:
- Connecting Foster & Kinship Carers - SA
- Grange Surf Life Saving Club
- Friends of Parks
- Willunga Farmers’ Market
- Community Living Australia
- MOSH Australia
- Ladder Project Foundation
- Girl Guides SA
- Lyell McEwin Volunteer Association
