An Honours degree involves an extra year of advanced study on top of the standard three-year Bachelor degree.  There are two programs of Honours study in Screen and Media:

(1) Bachelor of Arts (BA Honours)
This degree is for students whose orientation is primarily scholarly and who wish to develop their research and writing skills.  It offers students the opportunity to pursue topics and ideas that interest them in greater depth than is usually possible in undergraduate topics.  Requirements include writing an academic thesis. For information about the BA Honours please see 2018 BA Honours Handbook

(2) Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA Honours)
This degree is designed for students who wish to develop their research skills via exegesis (literary explanation of creative work). You will be able to develop your production skills through a study program built around a significant project or production. It is available to qualifying students from both the BA program and the BCA program.

Prospective students are required to submit an application [application form link here same as below]. You may also be required to submit a portfolio of work and attend a subsequent interview. For more information please see the 2018 BCA Honours Guide.
