Employee Self Service Unavailable

Over the last few days we have experienced some technical issues with the HR System and as they have just reoccurred, we have been advised to leave the HR System offline to allow the ITS team to work with our vendors to resolve these issues.

This means the Employee Self Service is currently not available.

An update will be posted here when the Employee Self Service is available again.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this time.

 Payment Updates

Tax Changes

There have been increases to the Medicare Levy and Higher Education Loan Program rates for the 2014-2015 financial year. This will impact your pay for the pay of the 11 July 2014.

Super Changes

Super Guarantee payments have increased from 9.25% to 9.5% in the first pay period of the 2014-2015 financial year and are applicable to all payments made on or after 1 July 2014 regardless of when the work was performed.

Enterprise Agreement

The initial pay rise and Bonus payment for the Enterprise Agreement 2014-2017 takes effect in the pay period commencing 12 July 2014, and will be paid on the 25 July 2014. Bonus payments will be taxed at your marginal tax rate.

How to reset your ESS Password

The Payroll Office and HR Systems can no longer reset ESS passwords manually. All staff must use the computer generated password system as explained below: To reset and retrieve a new ESS password click the ‘Employee Self Service Login’ button
Select ‘Forgot Your Password’ link
Enter your 6 digit payroll number
Click OK
A computer generated password will immediately be sent to your Flinders email account.
Note: A secret question and answer is no longer required.

If you are a new staff member you will need to Activate Your FAN before you can access email notifications from the ESS. If you have any questions about your FAN or email please contact the ITS help desk on 08 8201 2345.
