From time to time Flinders employs casual staff in a variety of roles. These fall into two main categories:

• Casual general staff employment
• Casual academic staff employment (otherwise known as "part-time teaching staff")

What kind of work is available?

Casual general staff are employed in a variety of administrative, research, technical and trades roles.

How to register your interest in General/administrative staff employment

If you would like to be considered for a casual position at Flinders, please complete the following steps to register your interest:

• Complete the Casual Register Form (DOC 37KB) .

• Return this form, along with an up-to-date CV/resume, to the address on the form.

We will contact you if a suitable position becomes available.

Casual academic staff employment (otherwise known as "part-time teaching staff")

What does a casual academic staff member do?

Casual academic staff may be appointed to:

• lecture in subjects;
• give tutorial instruction, or
• demonstrate in practical classes.

They may also be required to:

• assist in marking of assignments;
• assist in the preparation of teaching material and organisation of classes.
