LOTE bonus points are allocated to students studying selected subjects in Year 12 who apply for entry to designated degrees at Flinders.

Applicants who obtain a Subject Achievement Score of 10 or more in at least one SACE Stage 2 LOTE subject (or equivalent) will have a maximum of two bonus points added.

  • Bachelor of Education (Secondary Schooling)/Bachelor of Languages
  • Bachelor of Government and Public Management
  • Bachelor of International Studies
  • Bachelor of International Tourism
  • Bachelor of Justice and Society
  • Bachelor of Languages
  • Bachelor of Media (Creative Arts)
  • Bachelor of Media (Public Affairs)

Subject applicability

Applicants who have undertaken relevant subjects in their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), International Baccalaureate or interstate equivalent are eligible.

LOTE is any language other than English subject, regardless of whether it is taken at the Beginners, Continuers or Background Speakers level. Applicants will receive a maximum of two bonus points for LOTE subjects, regardless of the number of LOTE subjects studied. English as a second language is not considered a LOTE subject.

An overall maximum of 9 bonus points per applicant, inclusive of any other Flinders University access/bonus points schemes, applies.
