Flinders University appreciates that a student's performance in Year 12 studies may not always be a true indicator of an ability to succeed at University. Accordingly, Flinders will consider a school's recommendation of an applicant's academic performance and potential for university study for admission to selected Flinders courses.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- have been currently enrolled in Year 12 in 2011 and
- be applying for a Flinders course to start in Semester 1 2012.
Selection
Applicants will be considered on a combination of:
- school statement
- overall performance at year 11/12 studies (including subjects and subject combinations that may not be counted towards an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank [ATAR], previously TER)
- two latest school reports (required as part of the application)
- applicant statement and
- other relevant information - indication of a students achievement in other aspects of their life and other studies such as TAFE/VET topics.
How to apply
Applicants:
- will need to apply for a Flinders degree through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC)
- download and complete Section A (attaching any relevant documentation and two of the latest school reports) the Principal's Recommendation Application Form (PDF 227KB)
- ensure that a School Principal or Delegate completes and signs the relevant Section B and returns the completed form to the Admissions/Prospective Students Office.
Successful applicants will receive an offer during the SATAC offer rounds. Offers will be made on behalf of the University by SATAC.
