Flinders University appreciates that a student's performance in Year 12 studies may not always be a true indicator of an ability to succeed at University. Accordingly, Flinders will consider a school's recommendation of an applicant's academic performance and potential for university study for admission to selected Flinders courses.

The courses available under the program are:

 

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • have been currently enrolled in Year 12 in 2011 and
  • be applying for a Flinders course to start in Semester 1 2012.

Selection

Applicants will be considered on a combination of:

  • school statement
  • overall performance at year 11/12 studies (including subjects and subject combinations that may not be counted towards an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank [ATAR], previously TER)
  • two latest school reports (required as part of the application)
  • applicant statement and
  • other relevant information - indication of a students achievement in other aspects of their life and other studies such as TAFE/VET topics.

Successful applicants will receive an offer during the SATAC offer rounds. Offers will be made on behalf of the University by SATAC.
