Student Equal Access Scheme (SEAS) assists students from low socio-economic backgrounds in metropolitan areas. Flinders allocates bonus points to eligible students.

Note: If you are not studying in a metropolitan school you may be eligible for our Rural and Isloated Student Access Scheme.

What is a SEAS school?

A SEAS school is one where at least 25% of students are School Card holders. SEAS is open to secondary schools in the metropolitan area (defined by post codes between 5000 and 5199).

How many points will I get?

  • If you are studying in a SEAS school in metropolitan Adelaide, you are eligible for 6 bonus points. These bonus points will be automatically added to your university aggregate you do not need to apply for these points. If you attend a SEAS school and also hold a School Card, Health Care Card or receive Youth Allowance, you are eligible to apply for a further 2 bonus points.   • 6 bonus points are available to all Year 12 students who are School Card or Health Care Card holders or who receive Youth Allowance and who attend a metropolitan Adelaide school that is not designated as a SEAS school. You must download and complete the SEAS Application 2012 (PDF 195KB) .
  • Further, if you are currently studying one or more Open Access subjects at Year 12 level you will receive an additional 2 bonus points. You will automatically receive the bonus points and you do not need to apply.

Prior Year Students

If you have studied one or more Open Access subjects at Year 12 level or you held a School Card, Health Care Card or recieved Youth Allowance throughout your Year 12 year, you may apply for bonus points retrospectively. You must download and complete the SEAS Application 2012 (PDF 195KB) .

Maximum bonus points

The maximum bonus inclusive of any other Flinders University access/bonus points schemes is 9.

Application due date

Application forms must be returned to the Admissions/Prospective Student Office by 23rd January 2012.
