uniTEST 

Are you keen to enhance your opportunity to attend university?  Do you wish to increase your options to gain a place in the course you want? Are you looking at a way to show the University that you have the ability to succeed at University study?  Then uniTEST is your chance to impress!

Whilst it won't guarantee you a place at University, if you do well in the test the results will be taken into consideration by Flinders, and it may assist you to enter your course of choice. If however you don't do so well in the test, don't worry as you cannot be disadvantaged by sitting uniTEST.

What do I need to know about uniTEST?

uniTEST is an aptitude test that has been designed to assess the kinds of generic reasoning and thinking skills that underpin studies at higher education and that are needed for students to be successful.  uniTEST assess this reasoning and thinking across the broad domains of mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences.  Additional information can be found at uniTEST.

uniTEST is designed for school leavers and will complement existing selection criteria such as the ATAR.

When and where will the test be held?

All planned sittings of uniTEST have now been completed.

Why sit the test?

Flinders is offering uniTEST to any eligible applicant wishing to enhance their opportunity to attend university.  Flinders will select students based on both an applicant's Year 12 results (60% weighting toward the ATAR score) and uniTEST performance (40%).

Am I eligible?

uniTEST is open to any current Year 12 student who will complete an Australian Year 12 qualification this year (2011) including International onshore Year 12 students.

Does uniTEST apply to my preferred course?

uniTEST results can be utilised for entry to most Flinders University courses.

Please note: You will need to have applied for one of the uniTEST eligible courses through SATAC

Remember you can be considered for a course at Flinders on the basis of:

• your ATAR rank (inclusive of relevant bonus points)
• a combination of your Year 12 performance and uniTEST results
• any other entrance pathway for which you are eligible.

What happens if I don’t meet the above eligibility?

There are a variety of pathways to a Flinders degree including using a TAFE/VET qualification, Year 12/SACE or interstate equivalent, International Baccalaureate, Principal’s Recommendation Program, Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), Tertiary Studies or our Foundation Course.
