Scholarships

The major sources of scholarship funding for domestic research higher degree students are the Australian Postgraduate Awards and Flinders University Research Scholarships . A wide range of government and non-government organisations also offer scholarships for research higher degree study.

Closing date for applications

Most scholarship schemes for domestic research higher degree study close on 31 st October on the year preceding the intended commencement of study. You are advised to start making enquiries well before you intend to start study.

Financial assistance

Australian students who are undertaking second bachelor degrees, graduate certificates or graduate diplomas may be eligible for financial assistance through the Federal Government's Austudy or Youth Allowance schemes. These schemes do not apply to doctorates and most masters degrees.

Flinders University Student Association

The Flinders University Student Association has trained staff to provide financial assistance to Flinders University students.
