Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA)
The Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative was announced in February 2008 and replaces the Research Quality Framework (RQF).
The main aim will be to assess the quality of research within Australian higher education institutions, and will use a combination of metrics and expert review committees.
ERA will be developed by the Australian Research Council (ARC) through an expert consultitative process.
